vCenter/ESXi deregistration

Unisphere supports the discovery of vCenters or ESXi servers (using a read-only user) and integrates the information into Unisphere. VMware information is connected to its storage extents, and enables seamless investigation of any storage-related issues.

About this task

You can unregister an individually added ESXi but if you attempt to remove an ESXi that was discovered under a vCenter, the vCenter, and all associated ESXi servers are removed.

To unregister an existing vCenter/ESXi Server instance:

Steps

  1. Select VMware > vCenters and ESXi from the menu bar on the left side of the screen.
The vCenters and ESXi list view is displayed.
  2. Select a vCenter/ESXi Server instance, click , and click Unregister.

A warning is displayed indicating that this operation removes the ESXi or all ESXi servers under the selected vCenter.

The certificate file is removed from the truststore.

  3. Click OK.
